F.E.A.R.

Today's profile is:

Wow, so long since the last profile. I've been playing the same games so I had no new profile. But thanks to Steam's Christmas sales now I have a few new games that require a profile.
The first is F.E.A.R. although to be honest this profile is made for Perseus Mandate. I think it should work Ok with the first game and also with Extraction Point.

To create the profile I used the new Logitech drivers, and now the profiles are exported in xml format, bear this in mind.

This is the only M-state I used for this game. I think it's clear enough so here's the link:

Call of Duty: Black Ops

Today's profile is:

Well, another chapter of the CoD franchise. I've just started playing so I don't have a definitive opinion yet.
What I do have is a profile that so far has worked ok, so I guess it's time to share it with you.

The profile is mostly based on the CoD 4: MW profile. I renamed some keys, removed anothers and added a few.

This is the whole list of commands:

Edit: Fixed a problem with G3 being binded Lean Right.

Edit 2: MegaUpload keeps deleting the profile so I had to change the name. I hope they won't delete now. I added a FileServe link in case the MU one fails.

Medal of Honor 2010

Today's profile is:

Another military FPS. I like some details, like being able to lean or the single shot selector. However it's too similar to MW and it's very short.

About the profile: I just started playing so this profile is not definitive. It has room for improvement but I think it's pertty playable the way it is right now.
Here's the layout:

Left 4 Dead 2

Today's profile is:

I guess it was about time lol. The profile is very simple, no surprising macros.
Here is the layout:

The only remarkable novelty is the "Use Sights" macro, that allows you to use the sniper rifle sights without clicking the wheel.

Here's the list of commands:

And that's all!
I hope you like it.

Front Mission Evolved

Today's profile is:

Wow, at last we have a nice mecha game. I always liked giant robots and mechas, so I got very excited when I learnt that this game was going to be released for PC too.
The game is certainly not a master piece but it's fun and looks good.
Anyway I don't think you came here to read a review so let's talk about the profile.

It's pretty simple, it just uses M1. There's a macro (Fire Shoulders) that allows you to fire both shoulder weapons at the same time. I placed the shoulder weapons near the stick so you can fire them while moving.

As you can see, there are lots of unassigned keys. Here's the full list:

I might create more macros as I play the game but so far I think this will be enough.

Team Fortress 2

Today's profile is:

Yes, I just discovered this game. I guess I've been playing too many RTS and military FPS games.
I wish I had played it before. It's sooo fun! I love the Pyro mwa ha ha.

And about the profile: since I just started playing I did a profile that simply adresses my needs. I feel that it needs some tweaking,  but right now it works.
It uses M1 for almost everything while M2 has a calculator-style numeric layout to allow communication through the menus.

And this is M2:

G-key 24 has attached an script that allows quick change between M1 and M2.

And that's all about it.

Half Life 2

Today's profile is:

It's been a long time since the last entry but I've been very busy (playing DoW II).
A friend of mine gave me an Orange Box a few days ago and I've been playing Half Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 since that. Today I bring you my Half Life 2 profile, the TF2 one will have to wait a bit more.
I know it's an old game but it's still very fun and I'm sure that there are lots of people who haven't played it yet.

It just uses M1, and it's very simple:

There are macros like Quick Load that I haven't placed because I don't like to have accidents when I'm playing. This is the whole list:

Mafia II

Today's profile is:

I just started playing today. So far it looks promising, although I still prefer Kane&Lynch 2. But it's soon to compare both games so I'll just talk about the profile.
This is the M1 layout. You can perform almost all actions with this layout:

Easy and simple. However, you can't navigate the menus. So I changed the WASD keys for arrow keys and saved it to M2. Now with M2 layout you can play on foot, drive and navigate the menus.

This is the full macro list:

And that's all. I used the profile and so far it works but if you find any problem please leave a comment.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

Today's profile is:

Wow this game is so cool! I love this ultra realistic style the developers chose, it's very immersive.
The game packs lots of action and some gore cuts, altough corpses are censored to make the game more immersive.

Anyway, you came here for the profile and here it is. The game uses just a couple of keys so the profile is really simple.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood

Today's profile is:

Well I liked a lot the first part but this one has a different feeling. It's more focused on action and shooting, and has less stealth and platforms moments.
Whatever, I created a profile and here it is. It's very simple but still someone will find it useful.
It just uses M1. The layout is:

It's very simple because of the game simple mechanics.
I beated the game with it so it should work for you. Here's the link:

World in Conflict

Today's profile is:

Now, this game is one of the best RTS games you can actually play.  The multiplayer experience is very good, it features up to 8 vs 8 players and has loads of units and strategies. And it really encourages teamplay. You will need your team mates as much as they will need your support.

About the profile. It's actually in early stages but since I'm going to be off during the weekend, I thought I'd rather share what I have now. I'll certainly make some corrections but right now this seems to work.
It has a main layout and a secondary layout (M3) that you can access through G-keys 23 and 24.

This is M1:

I'm currently trying different configurations but so far this one looks solid. I actually have some canges in mind so probably the next version will be different.
As you can see, both G23 and G24 are command keys.
Both of them are linked to M3, but they behave different.
G23 triggers the Tactical menu, the one you use to call artillery and air support. You have to hold it while you use it.

G24 launches the reinforcements menu. You can click it and then click it again to get back to M1.

Here's M3:

M3 is designed to work with both Tactical and Reinforcements menu. You can navigate through their options, call reinforcements and deploy units.

Now, it takes some time to get used to it but I think it's worth it. Anyway, I typed almost all the macros so you can create your own layout.

I hope you like it, if you have any suggestions just type them. They will ber appreciated.

Crysis, Crysis Warhead & Crysis Wars

Today's profile is:

This game really rocks!! It's been a long time since I played it for the first time but since I have some spare time now I decided to install it again and create a nice profile for it. So here it is:

This is M1 layout:

It's almost the original layout except for grenades and melee. You will notice that keys have the single-player name, ie lean right and left which have different functions in multiplayer. I did it this way to avoid having two or more macros that do exactly the same with different names.
The stick is used to change the suit mode. For this I used a macro that calls the suit menu and then picks the mode. You can get the same result with in-game hotkeys but I prefer this way.

You will notice that there's no weapon menu or binoculars and that there are some new macros.

You can access weapon config menu by pressing G23. As long as you hold it you will shift the layout to M2 AND prompt the weapons menu. M2 looks like this:

Keys G6, G7, G13, G10 and G19 are used to move through the weapons config options. So if you want to add/remove silencers, lasers etc you just hold G23, use the G-keys and then release G23. Great!
Binoculars are accesed through M2, and quickload/save too.

About the new macros. They combine different nanosuit modes and actions. Strong punch changes your current suit mode to strength, releases a melee atack and goes back to armor mode.

Cloaked fire is intended to be used when cloaked. It changes to cloaked mode, performs a single left button click and goes back to cloaked mode. This way you can snipe without being detected because the suit stays invible for a second or two right after you cancel the cloaked mode. You don't become visible at all.
Timing has been tested with assault rifle, because I just installed the game and I don't have the sniper rifle yet. If recoil is an issue, simply increase the delay. I'll check this as soon as I get the sniper rifle and if there are issues I'll update te profile.

Cloaked jump is similar to the previous one. It changes to strength, jumps and then goes invisible. This way you can perform huge leaps while being invisible.

I'll keep playing the game to see if there are any issues. If I find anyone I'll update the profile but so far all the macros work OK.

I hope you like it. Please report any oddity so I can fix it ASAP.

Starcraft II

Today's profile is:

To be honest this profile should be regarded as a beta. I'm currently working on it. I just created the macros and placed some keys here and there but the profile is still far from being complete. It will take a bit, just like the DoW II profile did.
Any suggestion will be much appreciated, because I didn't play the first Starcraft and I'm a bit lost.

Here's the v1.0 layout:

I bound the camera to the stick, which has proven to be very handy.
The group numbers will very likely stay the same but other keys might change in a future revision.
I'm currently playing the campaing in order to gather some experience. As soon as I finish it I'll update the profile.
Until then here is the link:

August 5 2010,
I added a few more macros and I corrected the profile (former version had two keys for Patrol). No big change but anyway here it is the v1.1.
I changed the link so it now points to the new version.

August 20 2010,
Here's a picture of many but not all the commands I coded. It might help you to mod your layout.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Today's profile is:

I really liked this one. Ok, I've been a long time Batman fan but even if you are not, the game is great and you'll have a nice time with it. They used the old designs, that is, grey suit for Batman (black cape instead of blue) and purple suit for the Joker. The story however is modern and nicely scripted.

About the profile:
This is the v1.0 layout:

It feels a bit strange to use G7 as an M-state toggle but it actually works.
Items 1 to 4 are bound to the stick. The same goes for items 5 to 8, although this are in M2 so you have to press G7 to access them.
I created an Evade macro that simply double-taps the space bar so you don't have to do it yourself. I also bound the map key twice so you can press it with either your thumb or your little finger.

And little more. Here's the link:

Alien Swarm

Today's profile is:

Valve's new game has just been released. It's a fun, four player cooperative shooter. And it's free!
According to Valve,
the game thrusts players into an epic bug hunt featuring a unique blend of co-op play and squad-level tactics. With your friends, form a squad of four distinct IAF Marine classes. Plan your attack using an unlockable arsenal of weapons with countless loadout configurations against a wide variety of aliens. Blaze your way through an overrun, off-world colony, eradicating the alien infestation in environments ranging from the icy planet's surface, to a subterranean lava-flooded mining facility.

It's actually as fun as it sounds. I strongly recommend it if you like shooters.

About the profile, I'm actually testing it and it works although I'm not really sure about if this will be de definitive layout.

22/07/2010
The updated layout looks like this:

Anyway, I bound almost all the game's keys and shortcuts so you can configure your G13 to your preferences.
If I make any update I'll change the link. Right now however you can download the profile from here.

Fallout 3

Today's profile is:

Well this is a long, nice game. It's a perfect game to play during the summer. It's great to simply get lost and walk around the place just enjoying the landscape. I love it when I start playing a game and I have that feeling that it's going to be a great experience.

About the profile. It might suffer some changes as I play and learn what's most useful and what is not. However the way it is right now it's ok and works great.

With this profile I repeat the switch M-Sate formula. You have access to all eight hotkeys in M2, which you can access by just holding G24.
This is M1:

I added an ENTER key to make dialogs more comfortable. I also use two keys for V.A.T.S. since there's avalaible space and it comes handy.

This is M2:

There aren't many surprises, are they? Hotkeys 1 to 8, Quick Save and Quick Load macros.

Aliens vs Predator

Today's profile is:

First of all, sorry for the delay!  I've been quite busy for the last days and I've not been able to create a profile. I'm back nevertheless and I bring you a profile for Aliens vs Predator.

The game is fun but the multiplayer experience is somehow dissapointing. It's good, but... I don't know why, but the classic game had a different feeling.

However this new version does pack lots of fun and it's worth making a profile. So here we go:

I just used M1 and M2 and despite my attempts, there's no script here. I tried to create a script for Blocking that triggered both Left Mouse and Right Mouse but it seems that the G13 does not handle two simultaneous mouse events so I didn't success. So I created a macro called Block that simply triggers key "9". You will have to bind "9" to Block in order to work and since this is not standard controls, I didn't place it in the profile.

M1 looks like this:

If you are familiar to the game, you will know that in this game you don't run with the usual SHIFT key but with Q. I created M1 in the standard FPS fashion, that is, I placed the Sprint macro exactly where I'm used to, G15, and I bound Focus to G3. I placed a pair of "Health" macros since there were enough free keys and it's a good idea to keep health stims handy.

The  Flare / Vision Mode macro placed in G24 repeats while hold so you can cycle through the Vision Modes with just one click. I added some delay to make it comfortable.

The M2 layout has the Focus and Sprint macros are in AvP default places.

There are one or two minor changes because of this, mainly Sprint has gone to G24 too so you can run and Strafe Left at the same time.

But overall it's the same.

Both M-states share a macro thar simulates the mouse middle button. It's not very comfortable for me to use MMB while gaming so I tend to use macros to simulate it.
