Batman: Arkham Asylum

Today's profile is:

I really liked this one. Ok, I've been a long time Batman fan but even if you are not, the game is great and you'll have a nice time with it. They used the old designs, that is, grey suit for Batman (black cape instead of blue) and purple suit for the Joker. The story however is modern and nicely scripted.

About the profile:
This is the v1.0 layout:

It feels a bit strange to use G7 as an M-state toggle but it actually works.
Items 1 to 4 are bound to the stick. The same goes for items 5 to 8, although this are in M2 so you have to press G7 to access them.
I created an Evade macro that simply double-taps the space bar so you don't have to do it yourself. I also bound the map key twice so you can press it with either your thumb or your little finger.

And little more. Here's the link:

Alien Swarm

Today's profile is:

Valve's new game has just been released. It's a fun, four player cooperative shooter. And it's free!
According to Valve,
the game thrusts players into an epic bug hunt featuring a unique blend of co-op play and squad-level tactics. With your friends, form a squad of four distinct IAF Marine classes. Plan your attack using an unlockable arsenal of weapons with countless loadout configurations against a wide variety of aliens. Blaze your way through an overrun, off-world colony, eradicating the alien infestation in environments ranging from the icy planet's surface, to a subterranean lava-flooded mining facility.

It's actually as fun as it sounds. I strongly recommend it if you like shooters.

About the profile, I'm actually testing it and it works although I'm not really sure about if this will be de definitive layout.

The updated layout looks like this:

Anyway, I bound almost all the game's keys and shortcuts so you can configure your G13 to your preferences.
If I make any update I'll change the link. Right now however you can download the profile from here.

Fallout 3

Today's profile is:

Well this is a long, nice game. It's a perfect game to play during the summer. It's great to simply get lost and walk around the place just enjoying the landscape. I love it when I start playing a game and I have that feeling that it's going to be a great experience.

About the profile. It might suffer some changes as I play and learn what's most useful and what is not. However the way it is right now it's ok and works great.

With this profile I repeat the switch M-Sate formula. You have access to all eight hotkeys in M2, which you can access by just holding G24.
This is M1:

I added an ENTER key to make dialogs more comfortable. I also use two keys for V.A.T.S. since there's avalaible space and it comes handy.

This is M2:

There aren't many surprises, are they? Hotkeys 1 to 8, Quick Save and Quick Load macros.

Aliens vs Predator

Today's profile is:

First of all, sorry for the delay!  I've been quite busy for the last days and I've not been able to create a profile. I'm back nevertheless and I bring you a profile for Aliens vs Predator.

The game is fun but the multiplayer experience is somehow dissapointing. It's good, but... I don't know why, but the classic game had a different feeling.

However this new version does pack lots of fun and it's worth making a profile. So here we go:

I just used M1 and M2 and despite my attempts, there's no script here. I tried to create a script for Blocking that triggered both Left Mouse and Right Mouse but it seems that the G13 does not handle two simultaneous mouse events so I didn't success. So I created a macro called Block that simply triggers key "9". You will have to bind "9" to Block in order to work and since this is not standard controls, I didn't place it in the profile.

M1 looks like this:

If you are familiar to the game, you will know that in this game you don't run with the usual SHIFT key but with Q. I created M1 in the standard FPS fashion, that is, I placed the Sprint macro exactly where I'm used to, G15, and I bound Focus to G3. I placed a pair of "Health" macros since there were enough free keys and it's a good idea to keep health stims handy.

The  Flare / Vision Mode macro placed in G24 repeats while hold so you can cycle through the Vision Modes with just one click. I added some delay to make it comfortable.

The M2 layout has the Focus and Sprint macros are in AvP default places.

There are one or two minor changes because of this, mainly Sprint has gone to G24 too so you can run and Strafe Left at the same time.

But overall it's the same.

Both M-states share a macro thar simulates the mouse middle button. It's not very comfortable for me to use MMB while gaming so I tend to use macros to simulate it.

BioShock 2

Today's profile is:

I really missed Rapture and it's halls and locations. I enjoyed a lot the first BioShock and BioShock 2 looks at least as good as the first one.
Yes it has a certain console port feeling but anyway, it's a great game. Strongly recommended!

Now into the profile, this is the main layout, M1:

Here you have the standard FPS keys: crouch, jump, reload etc. However since BioShock2 has up to eight weapon slots and another eigh Plasmid slots, I decided to script G23 and G24 so you can have direct access to each of them. Press and hold G23 will take you to M2, where you can select weapon:

G20 and G21 are used here to Quick Save.

Back to M1, if you press and holg G24 you will jump to M3:

Here you can choose between your plasmids, and also you can Quick Load.
The reason to use different keys for Quick Save and Quick Load is that it's very frustrating to accidentaly pressing Quick Load when you have managed to pass through a difficult area. So to avoid accidents I use different M-States and keys.

I hope you like it, here's the link:

Singularity

Today's profile is:

Singularity reminds me a lot of Bioshock. Specially the fact that you fight against strange creatures in abandoned ruins.
However it's clearly a console port, something clear judging by the small amount of commands and keys.
And since there were lots of avalaible keys, the profile presents lots of redundance. I hope you like it!

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky

Today's profile is:

I was a big fan of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl game.
In fact, I liked so much that when I bought Clear Sky I decided not to play it until my hardware could max it out.
That moment came just a few days ago. I upgraded my old 8800GTX to a 5870 graphics card, and now it's time to visit The Zone again.
And that's also profile time :-D

I think I got there almost all the important keys. There's a macro to go prone instead of the old finger twister Ctrl+Shift.

There's a problem however: due to my localized game, I am not sure that Quick Bandage and Medikit keys will work if you have an English keyboard. It shouldn't be a problem to change them though.

There are more macros than the ones shown there, like Multiplayer Score, vote yes and no and a few others. They didn't fit there but still I included them so you could configure your gaming keyboard for multiplayer games.

Sniper Ghost Warrior

Today's profile is:

I can't say much about this game right now. It's pretty new and I've only played it through the first level. So far it seems it's going to be fun.
Anyway you didn't come here to read a review so let's go to the profile.

In this game you have to hold the crouch button to go prone. It's a bit odd and I guess it's this way because it's a console port.
I placed the melee attack in two different columns so you can trigger it with different fingers. The same goes for the Medikit.

In this game you can zoom in/out with the mouse wheel. However holding down the right button to aim ant zooming at the same time it's nover very comfortable so I wrote a little script that allows you to use sights with G23.

Metro 2033

Today's profile is:

I just had a game and I liked it. Not as much as S.T.A.L.K.E.R, but still I enjoyed.
I haven't finished yet but so far the game seems pretty linear.
It doesn't use lots of key combinations but anyway I made the profile.

It requires no explanation. The only new feature is G19, where I placed a macro that repeats E so you don't have to repeat it at certain parts of the game.

And that's all friends.
